Many of the folks in West are direct descendants of Czech, Moravian and Bohemian immigrants that settled in Central Texas in the 1800's. The people of West now share their cultural traditions of cooking, baking, arts, crafts, and their love of music.
Visitors will find many local shops and bakeries displaying the Czech culture that is so much a part of the people in this small town.
